How to connect Printer using Ethernet Cable and TCP/IP port:

  1. Connect your printer with TP-LINK router using Ethernet cable and LAN port.
  2. Find printer IP address, you need to access printer settings by pressing buttons on its front cover.
  3. You can learn how to check the printer IP address by searching for the printer model on HardReset.Info and finding suitable instruction.
  4. When you know what is your printer IP, you need to open settings in Windows and go to the Printers & Scanners in the left menu.
  5. Click on the Search for a new device.
  6. Then select The printer that I want isn't listed. 
  7. Choose to Add a printer using TCP/IP address or hostname.
  8. Enter previously found printer IP address and input it, Port name should be filled automatically, click Next.
  9. Choose printer brand and model from the supported devices list or install it using drivers downloaded from the manufacturer's website.
  10. Choose a name that will be shown as a printer name in the network.
  11. Fantastic! Now you converted old printer into a Wi-Fi printer using TP-LINK Deco E3 router.
